Advocacy Organizations
Advocacy organizations often face unique challenges when it comes to organizational development, fundraising, and other business challenges. Considering the needs of donors, legislators and constituents can be a delicate balance, and the results are often a direct reflection of the organization’s leadership and strategy.
Allison Sampson has experience understanding the myriad challenges faced by non-profit organizations trying to grow their reach or mount a new initiative. While working with the YWCA she trained staff, developed template grant proposals, and produced an annual achievement event. The Board of Directors wanted her to stay on in a more permanent position. She developed an interim staffing plan for Beth Shir Synagogue, who commended her “clear understanding of non-profits and the management skills required” to operate one. Allison’s expertise has helped numerous advocacy organizations improve their overall effectiveness.
